Christmas party on Friday 11 December
Save the evening of Friday 11 December — we’re throwing a club Christmas party.
We’ll send the venue and programme soon. See you there!
Queer swimming team from Prague · since 2006
The first and only queer swimming club in the Czech Republic. We train on Tuesdays, Thursdays and now also on Sundays at Šutka, in three ability groups. Anyone who can swim 100 metres of front crawl is welcome — orientation and identity don’t matter.
New Sunday session 19:30–20:30 at Šutka — all groups swim together in two lanes, coached by Nicolas.
We are a queer club — lesbians, gay men, trans* people and everyone else who wants to swim and get better. Nobody cares who you go home with.
A, B and C. We place you according to how you swim — there’s room for beginners and experienced Masters swimmers alike.
The club regularly takes part in international Masters competitions. If you want to race, you’ll have people to train and travel with.
To join, you need to swim 100 metres of front crawl without stopping, breathing out into the water. You don’t have to be fast — you just need to get through a training session without worrying about staying afloat.
We have three lanes and three groups, so joining depends on how much space there is in your group right now. Get in touch and we’ll tell you how it looks.
Email us at info@aquamen.eu, we’ll agree on a date and tell you which group suits you.
Aquamen was founded in 2006. This year we celebrate twenty years — two decades of training, competitions and people who met by the pool and stayed together.
We are open to the whole queer community and welcome anyone, whatever their orientation or identity, who wants to train and improve their swimming. Beginners swim alongside experienced swimmers who travel to international Masters competitions.
For years we have helped organise Prague Rainbow Spring — the international multi-sport games that bring athletes from all over Europe to Prague.
