Aquamen swimming team was founded in 2006 – we are the first and only LGBT+ swimming team in the Czech Republic. We are open to everyone from the LGBT+ spectrum, i.e. to lesbian, gay and trans* people, however we welcome anyone who would like to train and improve in swimming regardless of sexual orientation, gender expression or identity. The condition for admission is to be able to swim 50 metres freestyle breathing out underwater.
The team is open to everyone interested in swimming, from beginners to experienced and advanced swimmers. Currently, our team has about 45 members and regularly participates in international masters competitions. Also, every year we participate in the organization of Prague Rainbow Spring multisport event with swimming competition.

Trainings are held at will be held at Aquacenter Šutka, Prague’s most modern eight-lane 50-metre swimming pool. The stainless steel pool meets the international standards for swimming competitions, has water temperature of 27.2 °C and offers a grandstand from which up to 440 spectators can watch races. The pool and the whole complex, is completely barrier-free.
